    Hi All

New Member just picked up my 2 new machines A Hafco AL320G, and a HM46 Drill mill. Wondering how far I have to pull them down to clean all the protective coating. read that a lot of these machines have a lot of sand in them from the casting. Anybody able to give my any advice.

    Hi Ericbear,
good onya for joining the Zone, and a hearty 'Welcome'.
I haven't a clue what those machines are but don't panic, I'll bet there are 10,000
others that do. I've gotta lathe, milling machine, and a few other things and I actually haven't looked yet at their labels, but now I might go and look. I'm not kid'n I really haven't looked. Welcome to the Zone.

Thanks for the warm welcome was wondering if I did the posting correct. Mine are Made in china models I hope to learn on the cheep ones before getting good brand ones hopefully with the help of members like yourself if I break something I will get advice on a work around.
I intend to try and make some Items to go with the machines rather than buy them this will give me experience on how to use them, So if you have any ideas on must have home made jigs etc do let me know. Anyway the machines are a metal lathe and a drill mill I will see if I can post a link or store photo. Wish me luck on that. Regarding your machines, what do you like doing with them?
