    Wanted - X2 Mill Table

    Hi,
I am looking for an X2 Mill table (complete). I have the column and mill and all I need is the mill table to get things moving. Is there anyone who may have upgraded to the larger mill table and have the smaller table for sale?

As I am located in Australia my first option is for a mill table in Australia, but I also visit NZ on a regular basis, so I am able to consider one from there.

    Anyone out there can help?

    Regards,

    DaveC1

I did a quick check on Little Machine Shop. To reconstruct a complete base will cost $750 aprox....

The table alone is about $106 excluding shipping.

    What part(s) do you need?

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
I am after the complete table as I have the column & mill. The price is good from LMS, its just that the shipping is the killer ($272) due to the weight. I priced one here in Oz from Hare & Forbes but they want over $400 for the table.

    Regards,
    Dave

DaveC!, I am not clear what you mean regarding the table so please excuse the ignorance on my side.

In my mind the mill and column means you have everything from the column pivot point up. This means you need the base and all gibs, threaded shafts, handles, saddle etc. which fit on the base and under the mill table. If you are getting that for about $400 from HAFCO then you are getting a good deal.

I hope that clears up what I was thinking.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Hi All

Hopefully I won't hijack this thread (not my intention!) but I'm looking to get into CNC milling and have been considering either the X2 (H&F HM-10), the SX2 or the BF-20 mill (available at McJing for example) as options. The stock X2/SX2 table is too small for my needs.

LMS in the US has a super X2 with large table that would be suitable, but shipping is just too costly. Are there any suppiiers of large table X2's / SX2's in Australia that I could take a look at? I haven't been able to find any so far.

    Andrew,
You are correct that I am after everything below the pivot point i.e. a complete mill table.
The price I was quoted from Hare & Forbes was over $400 (ex GST) for the table whereas a complete X2 machine is $750 (ex GST). LMS have the table for $200 so on a comparative basis, and not taking into account the larger customer base in the US and buying power of LMS I would have expected that the mill table price in Oz would be less than I was quoted. This is why I am looking to see if anyone has possibly upgraded their X2 machine to a larger table and has their old one to sell. I guess the chance of picking one up here in Oz or in NZ is low, but worth the effort of enquiring.

    regards,
    Dave

    Dave,

The only other website I can find on Mini Mill in OZ is www.procontechnology.com.au

I did get my 4 jaw and backing plate from them about a year ago. Perhaps they are worth contacting?

    Cheers,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
I appreciate your interest in helping me. I looked over the Procon website and I don't think that they would be able to help me, but I will get in touch with them just in case.........

    Regards,
    Dave
