    Chris,

This should give you an idea of the size of the pumps. They are pretty much all metal and are heavy enough. I've got them sitting on some mini pallet things I bought at bunnings which makes them easy enough to move using a regular trolley. They will be going underneath soon enough though.

There are 6 bolts that attach the vacuum table to the frame. It is also glued/adhesive taped on. I am using 4 of those holes to bolt my mdf on.

Ta, those pumps look quite solid...

    That's handy, I need some good door-stops. :-).

    Me again. :-)

What's the outside dims of the 'footprint' of the machine? ie: how big is the top of your trolley.

Mine's on the water and I thought I could occupy myself making a trolley for it while I wait... :-)

    Cheers, Me..

    Hi Chris,

I cant seem to find the plans I used to get my trolley made up. I just measured the legs of my machine and got 1417x656mm. You'd want to give a few extra mills each way to account for any variences. I think I ended up using 50mm angle and with fairly tight tolerances it was a mission involving 2 car jacks some bricks and some serious thinking to get it to sit in there. Would also suggest welding from the outside. I had a fair bit of grinding to do on the inside to get the machine to fit flat.

    Cheers
    Marty.

Will get some pics up later to day of some of the mods I have done.

    Hmmmm.

I was thinking more along the lines of a hunk of flooring chipboard rather than steel.

As the load will be almost directly over the castors there's no immediate need to use a steel frame is there?

I was even thinking of busting out some alloy bracing as I have some kick-arse U section alloy in the garage gathering dust.

Hmmmm. 350 kgs ay? Will think about it a bit. :-)
