    Newbie- NSW

    Hey guys,

I am new to this forum.
I am looking to get some information regarding the markets of Lathe, Milling and Turning in the region. Is there much of a market for this in the middle and western part of the NSW region?

    Markets?
    Selling fabrication/engineering services?

    Selling manual machinery & accessories?
    Selling CNC machinery & accessories?

    Selling commercial market?
    DIY market?

Remind me where the middle and western part of the NSW region is...

Yes that was a bit vague , I am not located in NSW so please forgive me.
For what I can tell a majority of the Aussie cities are off the coasts. So basically I mean west from Sydney and New Castle.

Most of Australia lives on the coast in just a handful of cities.

Once you head too far from them, population drops off quite sharply.

Sydney, is our largest city - but head 70km west, and you're in the bush.

There are a couple of regional "cities", but they are few and far between (and certinaly not very large).

Our largest inland city, Wagga Wagga (I believe) has just ~55,000 residents.

Thats a large area of not much for people to know. With almost 1000km between the two.

Narrabri has tons of farming and industrial infrastructure. Most of the stores wouldnt carry these tools in stock. The most popular of the choice would be Lathe's. Alot of the farmers/users of machinery etc would just rather let the pro's do the jobs and take it to an engineering joint.

Much the same for Broken Hill, but for mining. These type of places are hard to get into with regards to supplying tools/parts etc
