Default Rapid pluge (Z2) info !

Not so experienced with Aspire, I'd like to find out why is it when I plot a number, say 0.25' on the Z2 plunge option, it will not carry on in my G-code ?
    Say I have put in a clearance (Z1) of 1'', 2" in the 'Z' home/start position and then a 0.25'' on Z2.....it's not working ??

Thanks for any help....any advice !

Could you post a snippet of the code in question? Maybe which post processor you are using? I just did a simple pocket with the same z values you mentioned, and this is a snippet.

    N180 G94
    N190 X0.0000 Y0.0000 F60.0
    N200 G00 X5.5919 Y5.0650 Z1.0000
    N210 G00 Z0.2500
    N220 G01 Z-0.1250

So, as far as my post processor (mach) goes, it does carry into gcode.

    I must be humble and apologize ! It's my mistake...miss interpretation !
Since I use more frequently another CAM (not to say Mastercam) it was me who got...say confused cause of usage habit !
Measning, in mastercam, there's are TWO value we set the height were the tool rapids Z before changing to the plunge rate to the part.
But THIS IS WHERE i got x-confused, is in MC, one of those two make such that it moves to this height within the operation or between aside operation to this retract set height. it's called FEED PLANE.....kinda Z2 in Aspire, but say this is the set height the Z travels if in the same letter V-carving, when the Z is called to move up & down for depth V-carved reasons......
    Hope this make sense.....
At any rate, you actually help more then it may seems !

BTW....here's a snippet of the code....that passed by me "undetected"...

    N1970 G1 X0.3458 Y1.7406 Z-0.0238
    N1980 G1 X0.3543 Y1.7406 Z-0.0303
    N1990 G00 X0.3543 Y1.7406 Z1.0000
    N2000 G00 X0.6753 Y1.5541 Z1.0000
    N2010 G00 X0.6753 Y1.5541 Z0.2500
    N2020 G1 X0.6753 Y1.5541 Z-0.0279 F30.0
    N2030 G1 X0.6769 Y1.5489 Z-0.0263 F100.0
    N2040 G1 X0.6785 Y1.5364 Z-0.0247
    N2050 G1 X0.6785 Y1.5334 Z-0.0247
    N2060 G1 X0.6538 Y1.5087 Z0.0000
    N2070 G1 X0.6785 Y1.5334 Z-0.0247

    Tks
