Default Aspire tool path calculation 40 + mins!

Im just doing a 3d finish path, with a v bit with a .0005 stepover because at a .001 stepover the preview looks horrid, thought a 0 tip v bit would give more detail in a finish so that's y Im using that tool instead of a ball mill

anyways ive got a dell precision m4500 with 16 gigs rams, anyone else ever have encountered this kind of calculation time?
    thoughts advice questions?

The preview probably looks bad because of the V bit. How big of an object are you cutting? I'd really recommend using a ballnose tool. Even with a 1/16" ba;;nose, you should get a perfectly smooth finish with a stepover of around .003.

Unless the total size of the object is less than about 1"x1", .0005 stepover is way too small.

According to this page, the Rest Machining tutorial should be on the Aspire discs that you should have.
