My first engraved sign

Just wanted to post about my first sign I made - the details are on my site here, but here are a few pictures to get you going

Google Sketchup Model -> Exported to STL -> Imported to Artcam -> engraved on my homemade CNC

I used a 1/4" end mill for the roughing and an 1/8" end mill for the details

haha nevermind, i saw the video and now i know it took you 6 hrs, but i have another question, how did you exported the google image to STL?

I think he used ArtCam

I'm not sure if this is the exact post of his but it's on his site that I learned how

And yes you are right - Artcam was the final app that I imported the Ship into and then created the GCode from there
