MDX-15 ARTCAM

Hello :
I have an MDX-15 four months ago.
Just get Artcam yesterday,till now i was working with modela 4.
I dont know how to send the information from artcam to my machine.
maybe drivers missing?
Maybe need to configure something in Artcam to recognize my machine?

Any help will be great.

I believe Artcam will just create the G-code.....you have to have some sort of a dnc software to get it to your machine

I am using small free program DROPOUT. You can download Dropout from Rolands website. Save the toolpaths in a file and Dropout will send this file to MDX15.

i just get it moving!
This is really good for me but i still have to learn a lot .

My tool keeps moving after finishing the operation.
Is this normal?can i stop it?

Hi again.
Everything is fine now.the toll stops.
I just wondering about the speed to use with hard wood.
I´m triying to cut ebony with a tool of 1.5mm .
Is there any link where i can see the good values for the speed
depending on the materials?

I just bought a second hand graving machine.Vision 2448.

I get it for a good price and the man that used it before just
know to use it in 2d (cutting and graving vector files).
The Series 3 controler from the machine is compatible with
HPGL/2 and G code .

I want to make it work with Artcam and i dont really know how to
create a g-code from artcam.

I wonder if anybody knows any program to send toolpaths from Artcam like Dropout for MDX,but for this vision machine.

The only way to do what you want is to save the surface relief you made in Artcam as .STL and import this into MODELA. It works.

Try to save the toolpath as " 2D HPGL (*.plt) " or as G-code within AC.
