ArtCam with 2 routers?

I have 2 questions.

Can I run ArtCam on my PC and then send the code via ethernet to the second computer in my shop downstairs?

How can I use ArtCam with 2 routers simultaneously? Do I need special software or special hardware?

Q1:
IIRC, ArtCam does not control your routers; it just creates the G-Code files. Send the G-code file to your other computer via ethernet and run your router controller software there.
Q2:
What interface/type is your router (serial/parallel, stepper/servo, etc)?
Is it one router machine with two router heads? ;0

First router will be 2 head (slave) servo system built around FlashCut CNC controller connected via serial port. I would consider second machine, maybe servo, maybe stepper- probably ready built by some reputable company.... Just wondering if productivity will double with 2 machines or this may be complicated....

Hi Chip!

Production definitively will be higher with 2 machines. You can produce with one copy of ArtCAM jobs to run in several CNC's. You always produce the toolpaths in ArtCAM the same way. You may have to select a different machine when saving the toolpath file. There is not difficulty at all.

Let me know the specs of the second machine.

Just create multiple toolpaths, merge them if required, and post process them onto your disk.
Then copy to each network PC and send to the CNC machines, in parallel if required. I recommend one PC per CNC to avoid timing problems with serial/parallel/usb ports.
