Question Roughing and finishing are disjointed

    Beginner question.
I made and test a tool path of a relieve on my machine. I am using Artcam pro 2017 and Mach3.
I have two tool paths, roughing and finishing.
When I run the second one (finishing), after having zeroed the Z with the new tool, the operation is starting without considering that the part was already roughed. So basically ignoring completely the previous roughing operation. I see the tool working where the material was already removed by the roughing.

I have not understood what I am doing wrong.
I did it using the roughing and finishing combined in the panel "create machine relieve" and also using the Z-Roughing and separately the "create machine relieve" only for the finishing.
Doesn't matter what I do the two tool paths are always disconnected as I said above.

    I would appreciate some help.

    Thanks
    Felice
