:o Hi Guys as a newbie i think the expesssion is im well and trully hooked on thsi CNC hobby have gone so far as to build my 1st router constucted from MDF, bought a Xylotex 3 Axis Controller card and most of the elemenst to finish my Prototype model... i think i may have jumped the gun as it were when i came across what seemed to be a good deal on Ebay. :frown: Basically and no complaints mind you i won an auction for 3 Vexta Stepper motors Model no: PH265-O5B-C12 these units have an encoder attached to the back which i thought was a major Plus :o problem for me is .....cant find any datasheet about wiring convention or power output Oz rating etc... the motors are 1.4Vdc 3.8A/phase 1.8Deg 200 step motors .....can anybody shed any light on these specs as i am keen to try out the operation of my Xylotex Controller, and so move my project to the next phase :o also any UK memebers in this Great Website im in london

Try this link for wiring,, http://www.orientalmotor.com/support/Unipolar_connection.htm
As for power,,, I have the vexta PH268-21,, 5.4V, 1.5A, and they are only 125 oz holding torque.

Here is the datasheet (not very good quality) on this motor. I have 4 of them with encoders purchased from Ebay also. They are rated about 60oz but do spin very fast with surpisingly decent torque. I hooked them up to my drivers using full winding connection (black/green and red/blue) and set the current limit to about 2.7amps. They probably work best using atleast a 30volt PS, I used a 44volt one to get over 1000+ RPM out of them.
Here is a page showing a test with these exact same motors.
