hello all
question ???
i have 2 - 1" dia. shafts, 44" long. (thompson)
i plan on supporting them with 2 supports at each end, 3" apart.
putting 2 linear bearings 6" apart on each shaft.(dual pillows)
how much weight do u think the combined shafts will carry,
before they start to sag.
thank you all, in advance for your advice
sincerely smarbaga

There is a beam boy calculator that has been mentioned in the forums before. I have never used it before but maybe it will have what you are looking for http://www.goecities.com/richgetze/

Glad it worked out for you. I wish that I could down load it. Ever since I down loaded that service packII for Windows XP, my computer wont let me do a lot of things and I'm afraid to dig into it to find the problem because I might screw something else up. You know, Murphy's Law.
