I dont think I am ready to build a cnc mill yet but I do have some $$ comeing for a new shop, so here is what I was thinking.

1)cnc masters cnc jr (has anyone ever worked with their products?)
2)may try their xyz cad-cam plus (still looking but sounds good for the $$)
3)3/4 hp router attachment
4)coolant kit
5)remote
6)rotary table
7)rotary tail stock
8)tts quick change tooling set
9)grizzly face mill (w/ carbide inserts) 10)several screwless vices (most of what I do right now is 2"x2" stuff )
11) grizzly clamping kit (52 piece I think)
12) several asortments of end mills (mostly carbide)

I also plan to get a small lathe (sherline maybe) but other than that do I seem to be missing anything? O I already got a pc to use with it. This will be the first cnc mill I have ever owned but I have played with some parts on a manual mill before.

Im putting together a new shop too. it looks like you got everything, the only thing I can think of is measing equipment, calipers, mic, etc you probably thought of that but just making sure.ive been researching for a long time about retrofitted machines and have heard all different coments about them, most people dont like retrofitted machines. they say there are issues with accuracy. i guess it depends on the kind of metal your cutting, the tolerence you want to hold, the base machine used for the retro fit, and of coarse the company that retrofitted the mill. I checked out cnc masters website and it looks like a pretty cool machine.its got alot of travel! id keep an eye on ebay though. just FYI

Something everyone should have in their shop (or extremely close to), is a first aid kit. :D You WILL cut yourself.

yea I already got a mic. and caliper (would like to get a coolant proof set though). My uncle is one of those that hates retrofitted machines, he says they are all......... well I think you know what.
As for the first aid kit........ very good point. Didn't think of that, but it should be the first thing on anyones list. Or close to first anyway.
