Wow small world. Yeah John is my neighboor. He has helped me alot with my Router.
Tom,
So what do you do in Wallace. Nice town. Would love to move there but just no work.

I'm semi-retired, run a take-and-bake pizza shop for pin money. I play in a 4x10 cell in my basement until my garage gets built (hopefully at the spring thaw).
You're right about no work, a couple mines are still open but that's small head count. We're trying to become a tourist town but very few of the business owners are open on Sunday, go figure.
robotic regards,
Tom

How about a pic of your machine.
Attached are a few pics of my machine and a render of what i'm working on. And a old pic of my shop. Looks about the same now just less snow.
And guys don't forget to join Frapper so we can be mapped in the world. Need a few pins for the Inland Northwest.

Hey just thought I'd freshen up the thread here see if there was anyone else from Idaho that was hiding in the cracks.
Carl
RubinC 09-25-2006, 10:16 PM Im from Idaho too. From Meridian though. IDAHO IS THE BEST!
Idaho is the Best but don't tell anyone. We don't need anymore people up here :nono:
Carl
RubinC 09-27-2006, 07:31 AM Yeah,
You're probably right about that. Just way too much people here its getting crowded in some places. Its all the people moving from California.:drowning: Which part of Idaho are you from?
Jared Fisher 09-28-2006, 05:08 PM I am From Filer ID trying to put together a plan for building a cnc plasma table.
I'm clear up in Bonners Ferry, have to drive through Sandpoint four days a week to get to work. The area is nice (oh I mean awful don't bother coming up here) but the traffic can be a pain and land prices are hyperinflated. Need a good winter, drive everyone out of here.
Carl
RyanS 10-12-2007, 11:25 PM Thought I'd bump this back up I'm new to the area here in postfalls. Hoping to get working on my router soon
acerocket 10-13-2007, 09:06 AM I am now happily entrenched in Idaho Falls. I escaped the oppressive Republik of Kalifornia in search of a better life for my family. I just had my Bridgeport CNC 4 axis knee mill and Femco Durga lathe delivered this week and am waiting for the electrician to wire them up so I can get back to the business of making chips.
whiteriver 10-14-2007, 01:00 AM Welcome to Post Falls and Idaho Falls.
I have Family in Idaho Falls. I go there about 2 times a year. Cold windy place but nice little city.
Ryan if you need help with your router in Post Falls let me know I'm just up the road and go through there a few times a month.
Still building a new 6 axis machine a lathe and a mill. Have all the parts just not the time. Building a 1200 sq' addition to the house so that has absorbed all my spare time this summer and fall.
Donny
RyanS 10-28-2007, 09:16 PM Sounds good I may need some help with the electrical. I have most of the parts and materials I need. I have the z axis just about finished and mc9 files for the y axis. Now if I could just get some time at work on the machines. Aparently I'm supposed to machine there parts  I got enough projects of my own :D
landarts 11-05-2007, 03:52 PM Im in Eagle have two machines, getting ready to build the big one .....
carlquib 11-05-2007, 11:54 PM I'm in southern Idaho, Hazelton area. I concur on hoping we will have winter again. There are way to many people moving in here, although it is gratifing to see that I am not the only one that likes to build things as a hobby. I would like to start with a cnc plasma/burning/router table. I have an Industrial hobbies mill that I would like to cnc too. The original plan was to buy the kit from IH, but like all good plans the bottom fell out and I'm not sure I want to spend that much for the kit now. So for now I have just been collecting information for the plasma table, maybe get a start on it this winter.
