Rekd 06-17-2003, 02:16 PM Surfcam will definately be easier. Cimitron is extremely powerful, but with that power comes a huge learning curve and a much higher price tag. 'Rekd rollie 06-17-2003, 02:19 PM I'm using Surfcam now but we will probably go to Cimatron later when we go into high speed machining.Have you ever used any of these two for HSM. Rekd 06-17-2003, 02:41 PM Yes, Cimitron is very good at this. I've used Surfcam, but not the HSM. 'Rekd SRT 06-17-2003, 03:03 PM Anyone, How does MC9 compare to Surfcam for HSM? Rekd 06-17-2003, 03:32 PM Dunno bout the HSM, but if it's anything like everything else, MC9 will pwn! 'Rekd teh biased via experience ymincad 07-21-2003, 10:10 AM Cimatron is a GREAT SOFTWARE. If i had the pockets for it this would be my choice. Lets see some of your work. Are you into ADA yet? MPE racing 02-22-2004, 05:18 PM Hi biker...why can't you just use Excalibur for everything you are doing. We use Excalibur and do 3D modelling etc. It's a great package and very affordable. If you have any questions about it don't hesitate to ask Greig Motorcycle Performance Engineering |
