Well, been searching ebay for a good deal for so long that I'm about out of time. I need a 3axis mill of some sort to do some prototyping and light production. I guess I am stuck in the <$5k budget realm of either a used bridgeport with an '80s controller or a converted mill drill. Anybody out there got a screaming deal, or should I just order a Mill/Drill and start converting it. I know there are some turnkey mill-drills but with servos they are in the 12k region. Any suggestions or smokin deals would be appreciated. Feel free and email hunt_fred@(delete)yahoo.com just delete out the spamproofer.

Call around to your local machine dealers and ask them if they have any used Prototraks. We got a 2-axis TBI bed mill with a prototrak for $4,500. It needed a little work(way oil pump $50) but has been very good for us. We use it full time. It took us about 6 months to find it but when we did we jumped at the chance.
