Hello everyone,
I'm a woodworking teacher in Manitoba and am interested in starting a course at my school in making guitars. I have been using Mastercam for several years now and feel I am comfortable with it to make signs and 2D items in general. What I'm having trouble with, as I was never trained in Mastercam, is cutting ramps or bevels on a guitar body. Is it possible to do this with a 2D drawing or does it have to be a solid drawing in order to round over the edges and create bevels on the body itself? I'm sorry if this is a no brainer, Ive tried playing with the ramp function in the contour toolpath but with no luck. I'm currently using a .dxf file that I've down loaded as the drawing I'm working from. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
