I get this error (ex1752 pallet seating signal off)at random times.during rapid, feeding, B-axis rapid, during M10 XY feeds. This alarm happens all the time. It is starting to get more frequent. This is a new machine to our company, but it is used.I am wondering if anyone has some ideas on what is causing this(switch, worn out clamp, etc.), and some ideas on how to fix it.:drowning:

On that machine, there is an adjustable air pressure switch that I remember being under the back Z axis way cover. It has a valve that can be adjusted by popping out then turning. Adjust it so the pressure reads over 70 on the display. These switches get out of adjustment due to machine vibration when milling.

Thanks, good idea, it took a little while to find it ,because it was behind the machine. It did not change the error occurances though. It is really weird though,it is starting to happen more often. It seems to occur more often on the b180. side and when it is doing a y feed in the positive direction, but it does not matter whether there is tool pressure or not(part on/part off).We have found away around it by turning k9.4 to 1 in the parameters.(1 pallet seating switch not available 0 pallet seating switch available.) I would sure like to fix it right though. Thanks

I'll see if i can find a procedure to troublshoot that alarm.
I found this. Maybe it will work for your MH machine. I think it is for a MH-63. May still work. This is for a "PS-7" type pressure switch.
1. Rotate the air flow needle valve CCW to permit maximum airflow.
2. Adjust the air pressure regulator for 0.1mpa.
3. Put a piece of .010” shim stock (or feeler gage) between the pallet and its seating face. Be sure not to block the air orifice with the shim stock or feeler gage. (On SH machines, you can just lift or remove the pallet completely)
4. While checking the DC voltage between terminals “0NC” and “CHK” in the APC terminal box, adjust the air flow needle valve CW until voltage is 1.6V.
5. After adjusting the airflow for 1.6V, adjust the potentiometer on the face of the PS-7 switch so that the LED just goes off. Do not turn the pot any further once the LED has gone “off”.
6. Remove the shim stock and clamp the pallet. Once again, check the voltage at “CHK” and “0NC”. The voltage should be about 2V with the workpiece clamped.
7. Confirm the diagnostic address for “pallet seating check” by referring to the machine’s ladder, then check to make sure the diagnostic is “1” when the orifice is blocked (in the correct “clamped” condition).

Just make SURE before any adjustments that the seating area is clean on the pallet ant the machine. Use fine scotch brite if you need to. Any air gap can set that off.
