What does the me $.05 mean on side of gatorade and coke plastic bottles? If it means it is worth .05 cents who would give it ot you for it? What company buys them?

The ME stands for the state of Maine. There is a 5 cent deposit on that bottle in the state of maine.

It would have to be a tractor trailer load full for it to be worthwhile.

AHH why only in the state of maine? I have a local aluminum can place down the street here gives you so much a pound. They don't do the same thing for plastic bottles?

anybody know? I have an aluminum recycling place here in town a few of them actually does anybody know of any plastic bottle places? Like a listing of them in different areas?

In Australia one state (South Australia) offers a 5cent refund on plastic and aluminum cans/bottles. This is a state funded program, other states arent keen to take up the program.

got ya yea i'm in the united state. Everybody seems to do aluminum cans but no plastic stuff

I get it now I seen a bottle with me and hi so I guess that means maine and haiwai

The reasone thay do that is to charge the .05 cent and get youto recycle and keep the bottles off the roadway and trash the plastic is not worth that much just someway to get your money

so there is no way to reuse this plastic and resell it?

i live in illinois but i know in iowa, you can drop off cans and bottles for 5 cents a piece
