:( Hi, I am trying to drip feed a cnc boss 6 control bridgeport off a greco minifile. I have gotten it to read the program off the floppy disk but it blows by the $ which is suppose to stop the loading of the program and tell the mill to load more programming info off the floppy. I have the greco manual and have followed it to the letter but the program loads and blows by the stop and fills the memory (about 12k) and the machine runs up till that point. But the machine pauses and waits but the greco does not load anymore of the 36k program. Any help would be appreciated. Pat

You must clear memory before loading any more into it do you have a k for the first like that is to kill mem and clear it .Those controls are not real
fancy on drip feeding I would look into a retro of drivers and run it from your computer .It was very hard to convince me to do that as long as mine worked .It broke and i put on some drivers i got from ebay .I know you
do not want to hear that but you will have a better machine that can hold
a mile of program... BEEN THERE DONE THAT

The BOSS 6 cannot DNC unless it has the optional DNC loader, a box the size of the tape reader which it replaces. The tape reader goes into its own box that sits on top of the logic control cabinet. See the posts on DNC initiated by me. Do a google search of "behind tape reder". You will get a list on manufacturers with devices to attach to the tape reader that will in theory allow DNC AKA drip feed.
