I have the opportunity to buy a 9X20 Enco lathe with the optional stand for it, magnetic base with dial indicator a 3 jaw, 4 jaw chuck, power feed, tail stock, single tool post, 6 speed,forward/reverse, quite a bit of tool stock and cutting tools that will be included. Is $500 bucks a good price for it?

personally I would jump on it, if everything is in working order its a good deal. Concidering what you just described goes for about $1000 so why not?

I have no experience with enco lathes but for 500? a 9x20? sounds good to me

Sure thats a good price, and its a nice lathe too. Not to big but big enough to really work some full size pieces.

By the way, does anyone have a link to a 9x20 CNC conversion or any other info?
