Tom,
I heard by way of the grape vine that you recomend using an older version of Mach3. What version have you found to be the best to run? Thanks for the advice. AJ

I dunno which Tom you are addressing but I do know MACH very well and especially how it works with THC.
We still use version 3.42.020 which is "older" by MACH standards but only a few months. There were some problems with later releases (which have probably been fixed by now) but we have not had time to version test anything later. We have several custom plug-ins that have to work and the testing has to be fairly extensive to touch all of the plug-in aspects.
As for versions older than 3.042.020: I can't think of a reason to run anything older. If you are WAY back (in the 1.9X world) then I would copy and keep my setup (and have a copy of the old version to reinstall) just in case. So far I have had few upgrades over the years that caused any problems. We had some stuff that broke some THC features in the 1.8 era but they got fixed pretty fast.
I have a test machine that all upgrades are done on first THEN we migrate the others over time.
