Hey everybody,

I have been busy disassembling an Oki Pacemark 3410 impact printer. Here's what I found inside. 2 - Shinano Kensho STH-53D101 Stepper Motors 1.8 deg/step, 5.0V, 0.8A, six wires. 1 - Shinano Kenshi DX050-020E2N01 which appears to be a 24V DC motor with an incremental encoder built in. There is also an Oki stepper KHL42SL14A, 11.7V DC 34 Ohm 7.5 deg/step six wire.

Are any of these useable for a first attempt at building a CNC table? My plan is to start small, get this thing working, and then build larger as the need arises. I was also curious about the boards from the printer. Can they be used to drive the steppers? I am looking at one that was for the 5V steppers...OKI BTFD 3PU4003-3072. It appears to be fed with 115 ac as it has an SLA4061 driver chip.

I'd Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks
