i bought them from repair centre in toronto ,before we get to carried away let me run it for awhile ,then i 'll get a few more if you want one,you saw the canadian price

Looks like they stopped making them at least 6 years ago. But if you really want one, then Ebay is your friend.

i ordered two and ran an mdf door job at the outset, so far so good i have a feeling they did not sell as on a regular hand held router as one must raise the base plate to use them, this seems dangerous to me and may have been an unattractive feature, i will call the company today and see if there were any safety issues

i spoke to jacobs chuck today, they happen to be in the upstate from me here in sc, they said they sell this chuck to metabo tools in europe but had not made it for US use in some time (6 years) but had no problem with my using it in a cnc machine, they will look at why it is not marketed yet but on my end for general use so far so good

been running my chuck in maple and the bit never changed ,used the 1/4 insert
