80/20 Inc. 08-10-2009, 09:49 AM The align-a-grooves in 80/20's extrusion identify the bar as being fractional, but they serve a much more important role. During project assembly, the alignment of these grooves ensures that joints and corners are square and properly aligned.

80/20 Inc. 08-12-2009, 08:46 AM Before assembly of your project, be sure to preload any joining plates, brackets, or fasteners. This will allow for much easier assembly as you will be able to focus on the assembly itself, not searching for individual t-nuts or screws.

80/20 Inc. 08-14-2009, 09:38 AM If you find that your linear bearings are not easily sliding across the extrusion, try hitting each side of the bearing with a soft faced mallet. This will align the bearing pads with the slot, allowing for ease of motion.

80/20 Inc. 08-17-2009, 02:05 PM Before installing panel gasket, spray a rag with Armor All and wipe down the gasket. This will do two things. One, it will allow the gasket to slide easily into the t-slot. Two, it will help protect the gasket from cracking, fading, or discoloration.

80/20 Inc. 08-19-2009, 10:11 AM If you come across a situation where you need to add a t-nut to a bar that is captivated on both ends, drop in t-nuts are your answer. They allow you to load from the profile side, as opposed to the end of the profile. This prevents wasted time tearing down and rebuilding your project.
