Today I keep on getting an alarm 235 spindle Z fault if I put my rpms above 5000 on my mini mill. I have another encoder belt that I am going to put on now but was wondering if anyone has some info on changing it? how do you make sure that it is oriented correct? If that’s not the problem next replace the cable or is there something else that I am missing?

Put a new encoder belt on this morning, got the spindle oriented and it ran fine for about 5 hours now it back getting alarm 235. Is it the encoder or something else? anyone else have alarm 235???

Probably the spindle encoder. Unless you have a methods for checking one or know someone who can your best bet is to try and replace it. Before you do, inspect the cable and connectors carefully.
