I'm building a 5'x5' router and am considering making it so I hook up a plasma to it also. I'm thinking about using a side arm mounted plasma, which would be a light but stiff aluminum extrusion that mounts to my z axis and extends out the side of the router frame, holding the cutter just off to the side of my machine. Then the cutting table would roll out from underneath the router allowing me to have a nice heavy duty table with full access to the top and a water bath underneath it. What do people think?
I know one manufactuer offered this at one time but I'm not sure who.

Do you think the enevitable small bounce at the end of the arm would cause problems for auto THC?

Is putting a plasma in a woodworking space a dumb idea?

Thanks
