I shut down my dyna cnc table with cand cnc electronics and upon start up the next time I went to use it my x axis it goes negative (left) when I push left and goes neg (left) when I push right.
My motors are steppers.
On MACH 3 the dro goes neg when I go left and and x goes left dro goes pos when I go right and x still goes left.
The cand cnc control box direction lights work proper like the other axis. One way the red light lts and the other dir the red and green lights lite up.
Can it be one of the gecko's?
I looked in the config and can't see anything I reinstalled MACH 3 and my settings???
Thanks for any input.

Check your settings and make sure all your axis's are correct. Either green checks or red x's. Mine did something similar once when I was using my small high frequency plasma close to the table. After I shut it down and went to use it again my rapids would not work and the homing was all messed up. I had to go into the settings and switch some of them around.

The Pulse Sniffer (Step & Dir Monitor) on the control shows you both steps (divided by 512) and dir, Using a different LED (on the MP1000 series boxes) or using a color change in a single LED (in the MP3000 series boxes). If the Dir LED does not change state (on-off) or color when you change direction Then the DIR signal is not getting to the monitor It is BEFORE the monitor. That would not indicate a Gecko problem. If the monitor behaves normal (like the other axis) THEN you need to suspect the components AFTer the monitor. Depending on the age of your DYNA table the "electronics" were just the PC interface (and THC) or on a few unit built in 2007 you complete electronics package was used. It's mounted in a grey fiberglass enclosure if it's our SPSC power controller. The MP3000 series has only been shipping since Jan of this year and they only bought one new unit from me since Sept of 07. If you can post on my support forum (Yahoo CandCNCSupport) and give me more specific information I can diagnose and help you fix the problem.
I have decided because of the demise of DYNACNC and the way customers have been left holding the bag I will extended our normal 2 year warranty to cover OUR electronics until Dec of this year or 2 years, from the date of MFG (for units made after the Sept 07 date). In other words you can get support and repair for you CandCNC electronics no matter how long ago you bought the table until the end of this year and past that if they are less than 2 years old. In addition we have a trade in program on MP1000B and MP1000C models (they will be marked) to upgrade to our 3rd generation DTHC MP3000-DTHC product Contact me off line if you need support or repair for our electronics. We do not handle warranty for any of the mechanics (Motors, cabling, brackets, belts, gears, slides, etc). We know quite a lot about their tables but not much about their later 4000, 6000 and 7000 series controllers.
