Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what kind of epoxy and what if any fillers would work for a cast nut?
Is "Moglice" really that exotic or is it just a proprietary formula?

Did it break? Can't replace it? You might try something like JB Weld.

Damn that thing was flying when it hit the vise.

I have got a bunch of different epoxies here:
Golf club epoxy - I think it contains talc, Hard.
Carbon shaft golfclub epoxy - really flexible.
Laboratory Countertop glue - probably contains silica.
Marine Epoxy - supposed to be really tough.
Laminating epoxy - for fiberglass, kevlar or carbon.
5 minute, 30 min., 24 hr. epoxy....

Anyway I am just wondering what kind would be good for casting leadscrew nuts.

Moglice is really not that expensive and works well, so I would recommend it.

But... JB-weld is extremely cheap, so I'd give it a shot with some cheap all-thread and let us know how it works. Just a hint, use plenty of release agent so you can get them apart.
