Dear all,

I may have connected the new GPD503 (DS307) to my Haas VF-1 wrong. I followed the GPD515 connecting diagram provided by Haas but looks like something is wrong so I am getting Alarm 123 and 122.
Do any of you have connecting diagram of DS307?

Thanks a bunch.
Harry Amble.

Dear all,

I am still waiting for a connection diagram to connect GPD503 drive to my HAAS VF1. Any help as to where I can get it? I have asked my Haas dealer and he gives me a connection diagram of GPD515.

Thanks for your help.

The 503 and 515 wiring is the same when used in the Haas.
Basic function, fwd, reverse, stop, reset, alarm (123), breaking resistor, input voltage, motor output, speed command input.

What year is your machine. Early machine had two breaking resistors in the control. One for the spindle and one for the servos.

If the one for the spindle is glowing, be sure to check your incoming voltage and your taps on the transformer. Be sure to double check your wiring.
Did you manually enter the parameters on your new drive?
If the drive parameters are wrong you could burn some stuff up.
