I just got a purported hardinge cataract lathe delivered today.

It looks like the photos the cataract tool room lathe on Tony's lathe site (http://www.lathes.co.uk/cataract/page5.html), but the serial number (10971) seems to be out of range: can anyone suggest what model it is?

Also: are there manuals for this anywhere online? Do people have suggestions for what I should do before use? It hasnt been out of service that long. It was adapted to use a 110v baldor motor sometime in the 60s when it was rebuilt. Any idea what the spindle type is so I can get some new chucks?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
