Hi Guys
I need help again! :drowning:
I've constructed my frame from mild steel and wish to construct the side rails and gantry rails from hollow tube probably stainless.
Side rail and gantry assembly will be 3 skate bearings per corner being 12 bearings for each assembly and therefore 24 in all.
My problem is this. If I use two parallel hollow tubes 300 mm apart and with a span of 1.5 metres, I think I will get too much downward deflection when the router assembly is in the middle. Let's assume the router assembly will weigh 5kg and the tubing is 25.4mm diameter with sidewalls of 1.6mm.
I have used Beamboy but I am not confident enough that I am setting it up / interpreting results as I should be.
Hopefully, I have provided enough info.
Thanks guys
Andy
