I am getting a E106 Extreme temperature at the heatsink (of the IGBT's). " The drive is carrying out a task that overheats the power device. The LED screen on the side of the modual blinks E106 and when we looked it up that is the description. I have been running the CNC the same no changes have been made that would increase the effort needed by the drive. I have talked to Fagor direct and their not to sure what would be causing this. Has anyone else seen this problem or have any ideas??

If this error comes up when the system is silent (not started, no power applied to power supply module) then you should send the drive module to the relevant service to be repaired.
If the error comes up after the system is started;
1) you should check the power cable between the drive and motor.(short circuit)
If the cable seems OK;
2) change the motor connections of the drive and a drive next to this to see that if the new drive will show the same error. Remember that the drives and motors you are going to try in this step must have same specifications.
