Hello!
I am looking for 2 stepper motors, of largish size. I'm not entirely sure what I'd need, so I'll say one 305 oz/in (or near there) and one 200 oz/in. I also am looking for a 0.5" mounted linear bearing open faced for my Z axis. Any help will be much appreciated! Also, I know Hobby CNC sells some good stuff, but I already have the controller from them. I may try to sell it to someone and just buy the entire kit so the electronics are good to go, but we'll see. Thank you!

Keling has some nice motors at a reasonable price but you probably need to think a bit more about your design before you purchase motors, it sounds like you pulled your torque specs out of thin air. if you post more details there are many on the forums that can help you out. Check out the cpld tutorial if you are planning on doing your own controller, a lot of features in a $2.00 cpld. It is a slightly stripped down gecko for a fraction of the price and you will learn a lot by studying the design. For that matter read all of Mariss' posts. if you want to learn about motors and drives there is no better resource. If you just want to get up and running a gecko 540 is hard to beat.

I definitely did :). I will come back later with a more accurate torque rating.
