Have a 2005 SL-20 that I suspect got a power spike from last nights storms.
As a rule I power down at the main every night. Must of been moving faster than I was thinking yesterday, and did not throw the switch.
A couple of years ago, I got spiked, and it blew one of the 1/2 amp fuses in the back. Replaced it and all was well.
Rear panel alarm this time shows problem in same fuses. Checked all with tester. All fuses were good. Replaced all with new fuses anyway, and still showing alarm.
Have some (FU1) elongated black components above fuse panel, and directly above the alarm light, that have what appears to be a screw driver slot in the back.
Look to be like an "in-line" fuse type affair. Anyone familiar with these?
Thought that possible they contained a fuse as well. But reluctant to dissect said same to find I was wrong.
Gentlemen, I cannot tell you how many storms I have powered down, and sit out, so I did not get "spiked".
And yet here I am. Any input appreciated.
