Agreed! :tired: Heavy D 02-07-2005, 07:38 PM it's actually not beta software. That's just the companies name. I tried it a few years ago in search of a good editor. it's a good program for people learning who know G code. I'll stick with my Cimco Edit though..... CJL5585 02-17-2005, 11:20 PM I ran all the g-code files that came as examples and was impressed with them, especially the simulator. I also tried to run some g-code files which were written for TurboCNC (The program has 24,000 lines of code) and the code operates perfectly on my machine. However, the simulator could only get thru the first 3 blocks of this code and I have not determined the problem as of yet. I only spent about an hour with the simulator. Demo software with missing features. c_nut 05-26-2005, 10:10 PM Software that crashes at unsuspecting times causing loss of a lot of hard work. Software that does strange things when a project is late. Things cost money for a reason. I haven't tried this software It may work fine. this is just rememberances of the past. I love computers I hate software. Messed up huh? c_nut CJL5585 05-27-2005, 11:37 AM As one runs the g-code in the simulator, the program places a circle on the screen relevant to the code processed. As a result, one cannot see the completed part. All one sees is a screen with circles until the screen finally becomes a white blob like a gordon's knot. Can the code be changed so that there is an option to not print all the circles on the screen. If so, one could watch the part being machined. Jerry |
