I am located in Toronto, Canada. 600V 3-phase 60Hz.
I am considering the purchase of an SHMS1325C with 3.5Kw HSD toolchanger and servos, Syntec controller, Becker vacuum pump, directly from Jerry Zhang, Excitech, Jinan, China.
Is there anyone in Canada or the USA who owns one and operates it on 60Hz power? What are the possible complications?
Jerry says they commomly confugure these for 220V 3-phase, so a transfomer should do the trick.
Anyone using the Syntec controller? I like the features of being able to edit code in the controller and connect to computer with USB. Comments??
cheers all,

I hope you don't think to make production with a 3.5kW spindle.

Normaly electronic can support 50 and 60 Hz. The main problem is with motor. At 60 Hz, motor run faster and the current drawn by the motor is lower. Lower current = less power. Higher speed on vacuum pump = more power requirement. The motor have a very short life.

Before buying in China, i suggest to you, to considere other cnc builder like AXYZ (cheap), KOMO (top quality/speed) or other company with support in Canada.

FWIW, I think most if not all of the components are able to run on 60Hz. Best to check with Taney (he's Da Man) to find out for sure. The spindle runs off an inverter so the 60Hz won't change the speed it runs at.

Hi All
I got my Excitech 1325 cnc about a month ago. It worked for a day then the dsp broke , this has been replaced but now the spindle turns for about 2 secs and i get an error message oL, I've reset the settings to factory default settings but this hasn't helped. I've got a 6kw spindle, can someone please give me advice as the local agency won't help me because I ordered the machine directly from China.
Thanks
