I wouldnt have posted this but I saw someone post an ebay link a few days ago. Im selling my CNC and Manual DRO X2 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290317407926 as I just bought a house and will have a basement in a month!
If your reading this CR, can you remind me what motors you recommend for the X3, ive seen your replies to a few guys' threads but I cant seem to find them. Thanks!

I'm one of the watchers, but I'm not interested in buying, I'm just curious to see if it sells.
Good luck,
Alan

I doubt it. I'd rather get all the parts in their original box and put them together myself, than pay for the uncertain workmanship of an amateur.
I had the same experience when I was selling my X1 which I'd CNC'd. A lot of guys wanted to CNC it, and they were all willing to pay >80% of what the mill cost me new, but no one offered more than 50% of what the electrical stuff was worth. So I pulled the CNC parts and sold it as a manual mill.
I will be interested to see if it sells for that price. It's a decent deal for all those known parts and especially the free shipping, but it's a lot of money to send sight-unseen for something with no guarantees. My gut says you could part the thing out and get at least as good a deal, except maybe for the ballscrews.

/\ Same thing I saw with my "custom" rc car. I shouldve put the stock parts back on, sold it, then sold the upgrades. I lost big money for the very reason you state above. Again we will see!
If it sells Im buying the standard X3, Keling/Gecko components, and a CNC fusion kit. Lastly, in the next month I will either purchase the 8x12 lathe or the 9x20 lathe from HF so I can have a halfway decent shop for my company. www.thecadbox.com
