For quite a long time i have been searching for the idea of having my own set of Software interface for my automation projects. We have Mach, EMC etc. out of the shelf for turning, Milling applications. But for special purpose projects we need tailor made screen sets. I am came across SCADA which people have been using for quite some time. Please advice your views in this regard so it would be helpful in building applications.

I have Found a Site Free Scada http://www.free-scada.org which says that screen can be developed according to user required and can be integrated to PLC's. I have just downloaded and about to venture whether PC bases BOB's can be interfaced.
