View Full Version : Bridgeport EZ Track Question

Hello all , I was woundering something IF A guy has never programed a machine or for that matter realy run a cnc be it 2 or 3 axis, and he has a understanding of cnc and G-code , how difficult is it to pick up running
a EZ Track and program it.I have a opertunity to go run one but am not sure if I can handle it. Thanks for the input as this is a great site. Regards Chris

The ez trak is a easy machine to program for simple parts. The controller is a conversation type, that is anser a bunch of questions about what you want to do and it writes the gcode for you. You should get a hold of a manual for the machine and read it over to get a feel for what is involved.

I have installed EZTRAKS since 1992 and can assure you that many people with no prior knowledge of programming have had no problem learing this control.

I am an engineer by training and even I can run an EXTRAK in spite of the fact that I don't/can't think like a journeyman machinist 8-)

It does help to have the manual and DO cut air or bars of soap or even 2x4's or 4x4's until you feel comfortable to make chips.
