I am looking at a sharp 2412. It is not set up for a 4th axis. Is there an after-market 4th axis that can be used with the machine?

Is there an after-market 4th axis that can be used with the machine? avtechmachine 03-25-2009, 12:35 AM If this machine with Fanuc Oi-Mate control, then it can't run 4th Axis Ahn Vuong SteveinAZ 06-29-2009, 11:58 PM True, a real 4th axis cannot run off the Oi control, but if you are just needing a index, lets say of 90 degrees per index, you can fire off an M code and spin some of the indexers. dcoupar 06-30-2009, 09:46 AM IIRC Yuasa makes Rotary Indexers that use an M-code (DPRNT) from your serial port to index. http://www.yuasa-intl.com/products_indv.aspx?pid=1 |
