I am trying to generate a Z-level rough pass on a small mold and I keep getting this error. Z-level rough works on the mating part in a different drawing.

You probably have overlapping surfaces or solids in the part. I have seen this error before, but it is commonly because two surfaces or sets of surfaces exist in the same space.

Hmmm...OK. I get a good tool path with slice planar. I get a weird step in the middle of an angled plane when I try equidistant offset.

Is it possible to post the file? Like I said, I have seen this before, but it is a matter of seeing the part to identify the surface(s) causing this.

Sometimes turning the shading off (press "s" in cad window) will show funky untrimmed surfaces that overlap.
