I wasn't sure if this was the best forum to post this, since it involves hardware.

I'm operating with Flashcut. I really like the software, with one exception... I wanted a pendant with some of the more common functions as a simple key press. Typically this would be functions such as G-code execution speed override, Reset G-code, Zero program, Zero machine, etc. These currently require mouse manipulation or complex keyboard shortcuts.

I bought the X-keys professional, USB version. This is a top-quality combination of hardware and software. To use the USB version, the X-keys Macro-creation program is resident on the PC, and you then "program" each key. For example, to make Flashcut increase the speed of the G-code execution, I currently have to use a mouse or execute the following keyboard shortcuts:

Display G Code panel CTRL+G
Faster: CTRL+UP ARROW

This will take the Gcode from 100% to 101%. I can make an X-key execute these keystrokes with ease. X-keys also allows you to set the key repeat rate, so by pressing and holding a single X-key, I can scroll the speed upwards.

The keyboard has removable key cap covers, templates, and labels which can be easily created. They also have colored key caps (like RED for stop, GREEN for go, etc.)

This "pendant" can be used for ANY Windows CNC control software which relies upon a PC for control. I just wanted to pass on this mini-review because I am really impressed by this product.

I have used my "pendant" for a while now and it has performed flawlessly. I elected to get the bigger X-keys so I wouldn't have to toggle layers between red and green. The Word templates and key stickers worked great. Here are a couple of pics of the pendant...
