is there anyway to stop surfaces and wire frame geometry from disapearing .
when i have more than one file up so i can go back and forth to see differences or just work on another file for a few. goemerty or surfaces will just disapear from the file that im not working on.(not actively).
it does this in 22 and 23.
and if you make the mistake of saving when you close it and you didnt check to see if anything was gone then your screwed.

What I do a lot of it cutting and pasting parts from one file to the next.

Not all the time but enough the surface either change color, like a transparent view or something very strange, or they drop all together.

This happens to me in V22 and V23 also.

I have no idea on this one, but I wish there would be a fix or for it. I think it's some kind of memory issue

I run 2 gbs of ram , what about you?

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

That's happened to me a couple times now with V23. I think Allen is right and that it's more of a memory or graphics memory issue. I simply save the file, close it, close BC and re-open everything and it's back. Not that big of a deal.

yes it happens to me in 22 and 23.
i have 4meg of ram and a 256 grafix card on my home dell and it still happens.

on v23 when i open dimensioning my decimal places is 3 and scale factor 25.4.
it will not go by my default or part settings of 4 and 1 scale...

does anyone else have this problem...

Seems to stick and stay over here. What is the build number of your install?

Only the people that have not done the update to V23 have this issue with a scale factor of 25.4... as it was fixed in last update

you may have had a bad download...this issue was fixed...maybe you should try a complete re-install

Yeah and with such wierd and horrible problems you are getting Ide bet somewhere you missed something. One of the differences I thought I saw was most of the posted updates were "Updates" which left things missing if you used it as an install. You have to install from the original full build then run the 1276 package as an update to your install.

See if that helps.

Do you have an original installation file? Not the "Demo Install". Those demo installers have several with less than full stuff.

If your unsure at all, call support and get straight over the phone.
