LaserPro 02-17-2009, 10:14 AM Try saving it as a dxf file, then see if it will let you dimension it. moldmker 02-17-2009, 10:22 AM Maybe the whole drawing was saved as a single Block entity. Select everything and Explode. May need to do it more than once as there can be blocks within blocks. moldmker FastBusa 02-17-2009, 01:30 PM Open the drawing then do a save as, rename the drawing to something slightly different. You can still save it to the same file location since it will have a different name. Make sure that you save it with the version of autocad you have. In the past I had problems with people that had newer versions than mine. JIMBO Stampede 02-17-2009, 03:17 PM I've tried everything to dimension this autocad file, in Bobcad. Nothing works, when I explode the drawing, it will only do the arcs. When I dimension the anything, it reads 0. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks. FastBusa 02-17-2009, 03:26 PM I'am not familuar with this bobcad program. What kind of file formats does it support IE what is the . ext it reads from and saves with if you want to send me a copy of the file I will open it and see what I can do I have 3 different drawing programs and a dozen translators. send to jchildress@whemco.com spinwheelz 02-17-2009, 04:03 PM Perhaps you can open a new layer to put dims on. This helps keep things separate from the drawing on my TurboCad drawings. BurrMan 02-18-2009, 01:45 AM I've tried everything to dimension this autocad file, in Bobcad. Also, you did say "I think I have an AutoCad file". Could you clarify this? |
