I am looking to get an Sieg X3 Small Mill for conversion to CNC The Grizzly X3 looks good but I can Get a Habor Freight 93885 at 20% off and no Freight so a gross of about including sales tax at about $850 loaded in my vehicle. The problem is it is a special order so I can't look at it before order. Little Machine shop says they are the same Mill and that the Grizzly specs are correct. Harbor Freight insists their specs are correct. I need the larger Spindle to table clearance listed by Grizzly. Does Anybody have a HF 93885 so I can find out who is correct HF or Little Machine Shop. I have 4 days to make my decision. Thanks

Hab,
I ordered mine from HF last Friday. You are correct that it is a "Special Order", and that with the 20% off coupon it was $847 out the door.
You say that you have 4 days to decide...does this mean that you have a link to a 20% off coupon that you could share with others here who might want to use it?
I was planning on taking measurements of mine as soon as I got it to let people know if it was the larger table. However, the warehouse that my local HF orders from was completely out. They were able to tell me that the X3's were showing as "en route" to the warehouse from China, so hopefully the warehouse should have them within a week.
My HF had offered to let me use the 20% off at a later date just because the warehouse was completely out at the time. You may want to check with your store and ask if they would do the same. That would give you time to wait until I got mine to confirm.

Someone posted a Harbor Freight coupon earlier this week and it says right on it "no special orders" ... I called the nearest store (down in CT) and the store manager told me that the 20% off coupons could NOT be applied.
He offered to take 10% off, but driving 6 hours round trip isn't worth saving $100 on the machine and $90 freight to me.
Don't know how some guys are getting their local stores to honor the coupon for the X3

The coupon was not a link but a direct post that claimed it wasn't transferable. I was planning to visit the local store tomorrow to see if they would honor? The coupon was attached to the special order announcement. But here is the link to become a member of the preferred Customer list to get their own coupons.

I will share my experience tomorrow.

I was the one that posted the coupon. It does NOT say "no special orders"....what it DID say was "In-stock merchandise only". However, the Special Order items are NEVER in stock....hence the SPECIAL order.
Honestly, my HF didn't even question it. I called and mentioned something over the phone about it, and she was the one that brought up that I could still use it on Special Orders.
If you're really serious about trying to use it, I would try calling corporate to find out what the REAL policy is.

I finally found the answer to my question. This has been true for a couple of years and yet HF refuses to update its data. This is from a two year earlier thread. I don't really need it right now so I am going to wait until later and wait for new coupon.
REAL dimensions on Harbor Freight 93885 Mill
I am a proud owner of the Harbor Freight Sieg X3 mill. [Harbor Freight #93885 . I brought it home from the freight dock today. Harbor Freight got Yellow Freight to send from Calif to Texas for $65.
Harbor Freight has created MAJOR CONFUSION in what you are buying.
Truth:
1.The Mill IS dimensioned exactly the same as the Grizzy sieg x3 item G0463.
2. The Harbor Freight online dimensions and advertising ARE TOTALLY WRONG. The Harbor Freight online Manual is TOTALLY WRONG. Discription is for the model manufactured by Sieg several years ago.
3. The Harbor Freight Manual packed with my mill is also WRONG and is identical to the one one their website which gives incorrect specs.
4. Download the manual and spec sheet for the Grizzly G0463 and that is what I bought from Harbor Freight (except in Red paint) I'm going to print the Grizzly manual so I will have an accurate manual!
5. The mill table IS 21 5/8 inches long like Grizzly mill instead of 17 5/8
as shown in Harbor Freight specs.
6. All critical dimensions for travel and ball screw length seem to be the same as the Grizzly mill.
I looked for hours on CNCZone for someone who had actually seen that the mills are actually the same and only found a post by Chris from Little Machine Shop. He had been in the Sieg factory in China and saw that the Grizzly and Harbor Freight were identical but for paint. That was good enough for me so I blindly ordered the mill knowing I might have to cut off my y & z ballscrew to make it fit if he was wrong. He was correct and I am very happy that my cncfusion kit will fit my mill without being cut down. I even have the terrible red waxey goo to remove so off I go to the auto supply to buy orange oil and wd40 to do cleanup.
Before buying online I checked with both local Harbor Freight Stores and they both said this mill is catalog only purchase.
