Hello,

Im in the process of building a PCB Drilling and Milling machine. After lots of stages of finding controllers ( I actually built a controller for accepting Excellon files and run three axis from a microcontroller connected to the serial port), I feel that Deskcnc is perfect as it accepts standard files that are easy to generate.

If any of you are using this software for the same use, please give your reviews on the ease and speed of operation .

Is there a provision for halt at the end of a tool and ask for tool change?

Post some pictures of your work...love to see them. I am also working on a PCB milling machine. I am still working on building the drivers and waiting on parts to complete the power supply.

well, the last machine I made was totally out of L&T printers. I bought four for about $10 each. They gave me 80ozin motors(mae unipolar), power supplies, ground rods- 20", timing belts etc...
It was a disaster cause it wasnt aligned properly, but it worked. Id rather not post pictures of it. Instead ill post pics of a Micromat machine which I will copy is the machines on this link dont work out : http://www.infodelta.it/meccaniche.htm
meanwhile Im working on the controller. three motors from Jon are on the way. Another set of three Geckos shall be ordered tonight. Deskcnc also.
