Deos anyone know of some good cnc cad tutorials? I have been scoping the net and only really came up with this one cnc tutorial using cad (http://stcnc.tripod.com/tutorial/)

I think there are alot of people on here that are in the same boat as me. We need to learn cad so we can use our machines.

too bad there were'nt some web pages out there that showed you how to make different objects and tool paths! Us newbies need help.....

Try these (http://www.cadtutor.net/acad/) for starters, you need to remember to offset evry line you want to cut by the radius of your cutter for the toolpath, but start by learning the CAD itself first. i find autocad tutorials are ok to use with turbocad, but you may need the help manual a bit, coz there aren't any keyboard shortcuts.

Also, try as much as possible to keep a tool path going. Don't pick up the tool and move to start a new path in a different direction. Use radii (1/2 the diameter of the bit) to make inside turns also. Some machines don't like square inside corners. I'm not sure I explained it right. Email me if you have any questions. Or call.
