Anyone with a GO602 (10x22) notice flex in the tool post / compound mount? Mine only has 2 holes and no slots. When parting, it's very much likely to allow the parting tool to roll under the work peice. Can't exactly tell whats flexing but it does apprear to be the tool post mount. I have a Phase II AXA QCTP mounted.

It seems to cut fine until I get about 1/2 though, then it wants to roll.

Everything is tight, I'm cutting standard 3/4" OD cold roll steel rod and I tried HSS and Carbide Parting tools with the tips centered. RPM is turned all the way down to 150 and I'm using lots of cutting oil.

Tired of exploding carbide tips and it almost always ruins my parting tool holder. If I go slower it chatters like crazy, if I get a little more agressive it cuts fine until it rolls under.

No problems when using the American 15x40.
