The other day I went to the launch in Australia of version 16 of Solid Edge. Its been available for a few months but the distributor only just got aroung to having the launch. Where I work, we don't see the new releases for a while to avoid confusing the poor students.
The most interesting new features were Zero D and the new drafting stuff which makes AutoCAD users feel more at home. Zero D is an attempt to provide tools for that initial stage of a design when you are still scribbling on the back of an envelope.
Has anyone been using V16 yet? I'd be interested to hear your comments. I have posted a more comprehensive review on my blog:
